Bidwells Oxford 10K - "Town & Gown 10K"

Comments: Well organised event. My first 10K event. Approx 6,000 runners. Event had pacers and sub finish start areas. Chip timing.
Start: St Park's Road (Just outside University Parks. Finish: In the University Parks.
Course: Run through Oxford's beautiful city, and then around University Parks to the finish by the park entrance. Mostly flat. Well marshalled. One water point on route and then at finish. Hot day!.
Surface: Tarmac roads & hard packed paths.

Comments: Well organised event. My first HM so excited and nervous. Event had pacers and sub finish start areas. Chip timing. I would do again.
Start & Finish: Warwick racecourse.
Course: Run through outskirts of Warwick and out into the countryside (All Roads). Hilly sections. Well signposted and marshalled. Three water points.
Surface: Tarmac roads.

Shakespeare Marathon & Half Marathon (Stratford-Upon-Avon)

Comments: Well organised event. Event had pacers and sub finish start areas. Chip timing. I would do again.
Start & Finish: Start was in the centre of the town and the finish was on the meadow/park.
Course: Run through Stratford streets and then out via the racecourse (Roads) to Welford-Upon-Avon and then pick-up the Greenway (Stone surface) and back to finish in the meadow/park. Hilly sections. Well signposted and marshalled. Three Water points
Surface: Tarmac roads & Hard packed/stone path.

Comments: Well organised event. No chip timing. Timing done via number.
Start & Finish: In the University grounds by grass football pitch.
Course: Run through University grounds and then around the edge of the golf course. Hilly, woody, muddy sections. Course marked and marshalled. One water point on course and at the finish.
Surface: Mainly paths, wood sections and muddy tracks. University Tarmac roads/paths.
Finish: Medal & goodies.
Westonbirt Arboretum 10K

Comments: Well organised event. Chip timing. Started in Waves. Very scenic route through the Arboretum. I would do again.
Start & Finish: Event area by the entrance car park & restaurants.
Course: Run tracks around the arboretum (Hard packed tracks & grass). Small hilly sections. Well signposted and marshalled. One water point.

Comments: Well organised event. My first trail event so excited and nervous. Chip timing. Very hot day. I would do again.
Start & Finish: Bibblins campsite.
Course: Run alongside the river to Monmouth then route takes you back into the FOD (Very steep hilly sections). Well signposted and marshalled. Two check points.
Surface: Muddy paths, service tracks, road, hard packed tracks, grass.

The Maverick Adidas Terrex Original Costwolds (Winchcombe)
Organiser: Maverick Race
Comments: I ran the Long Route (14 Miles). Well organised event. Friendly event organisers and sponsors, well signposted routes, very good aid stations, chip timing. I would do again. I really enjoyed the route. Kindly borrowed a pair of Adidas Terrex trail shoes for the event.
Start & Finish: Sudeley castle (Winchcombe).
Course: Run out of the grounds of Sudeley castle and start to follow defined ways (Windrush, Wardens, Winchcombe, Cotswold ways), steep climbs up into Farmcote estate then down into Hailes Farm & Abbey. Then back to Winchcombe and Sudeley castle. Very steep hilly sections up & down. Well signposted and marshalled. Two aid stations on route.
Surface: Mainly hard pack tracks, some field paths, tarmac and stone tracks.
